Peaceful wilderness — the spirit of AdventurePath
About AdventurePath

Built by Explorers,
For Explorers

We believe that the best adventures begin with honest, expert knowledge. Since 2020, we've been creating the guides, stories, and resources that help you explore the world safely, sustainably, and unforgettably.

A Team of Obsessive Adventurers

AdventurePath is the adventure travel property of Centered, a Tokyo-based media company. We're a distributed team of writers, photographers, guides, and gear testers spread across six continents — connected by a shared commitment to honest, firsthand adventure content.

Every guide we publish is written by someone who has actually done the thing. Every gear review is based on real field testing in real conditions. Every destination piece is grounded in personal experience rather than press trips and hotel courtesy rates.

We believe that great adventure writing can change behaviour — that a person who reads a good article about Leave No Trace practices will genuinely leave a lighter footprint on the next trail they walk. That's why we take the craft seriously.

Adventure That Protects What It Loves

The outdoor world faces genuine threats — from overtourism degrading fragile ecosystems to climate change altering the very landscapes that define adventure travel. We believe that adventure publications have a responsibility to be part of the solution, not the problem.

Our editorial mission has three pillars: accuracy, adventure, and accountability. Every piece we publish must be factually correct. It must be genuinely inspiring. And it must acknowledge the environmental and community context of the places we celebrate.

We partner with conservation organisations, indigenous communities, and research institutions to ensure that our content reflects not just the beauty of wild places, but the efforts required to keep them that way. A percentage of our advertising revenue is directed to conservation programmes in the destinations we cover.

What We Stand For
🏔

Firsthand Expertise

We only write about adventures we've had. Our credibility depends on personal experience, honest reporting, and the courage to say when something didn't work.

🌱

Environmental Responsibility

Wild places are finite and fragile. Every article we publish actively promotes Leave No Trace principles, low-impact travel, and conservation awareness.

🤝

Community Benefit

Adventure tourism should benefit local communities, not extract from them. We consistently recommend locally-owned operators, guides, and accommodation.

🔒

Safety Above All

We never publish content that glamorises reckless behaviour. Every adventure piece includes honest risk assessment and proper safety information.

🎯

Editorial Independence

Our content is never influenced by advertising relationships or commercial partnerships. If we recommend something, it's because it's genuinely good.

📖

Accessible Adventure

Adventure is not a luxury reserved for the wealthy or the elite. We publish content for every budget, fitness level, and experience, from first-timer to expert.
