The gold standard for multi-day backpacking. The Anti-Gravity suspension system genuinely lives up to its name — this is the most comfortable 65L pack we've tested at any price point.
EDITOR'S CHOICE
The approach shoe benchmark. Extraordinary grip on rock and trail, weatherproof Gore-Tex membrane, and enough ankle support for loaded carries on technical terrain. Expensive but worth it.
EDITOR'S CHOICE
A genuinely free-standing, truly lightweight 2-person tent that handles three-season conditions admirably. Minor complaint: the porch is smaller than competitors. Otherwise near-perfect.

Care Tips
Good gear lasts for years — if you treat it right. These are the most important care habits for your adventure kit.
Use technical fabric detergents (Nikwax, Grangers) for waterproof shells and down items. Standard detergents strip DWR coatings and clump down fill.
Never store gear wet or damp. Air dry ropes and fabric gear fully before storage. Down sleeping bags should be stored uncompressed in a large, breathable sack.
Check climbing gear for cuts, UV damage, and chemical contamination before every use. Inspect boot soles, seams, and waterproofing after every trip.
Store gear in a cool, dry, dark place away from chemicals and direct sunlight. Never store sleeping bags or softshells compressed for extended periods.
